The Chiefs will make it to the Super Bowl for one and only one reason. Not because of spectacular plays made by Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelce, not because their defense has given up the 2nd fewest points per game, not because Isiah Pacheco will score a bunch of TDs running like an angry bulldozer, and definitely not because Kadarius Toney will lineup onside every single play in the playoffs. They’ll make it to the Super Bowl because of Taylor Swift. But wait, what? What’s Taylor Swift have to do with the NFL and how will that get the Chiefs to the Super Bowl?
Think about it, if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl, it’ll be the most watched Super Bowl Game of all time. Because Taylor Swift will be at that game and all her little Swifties will be tuning in just to see her every now and then 30 second appearances cheering her little heart out every time Travis Kelce makes a play. Add that to the amount of viewers you get in just a normal Super Bowl, and you break records. But how many Swifties could there actually be? Well…..
According to a 2023 survey by Morning Consult, in the U.S., 53% of adults said they were fans of Swift, of whom 44% identified as Swifties and 16% as her “avid” fans.

Well, all this would have to mean the NFL is rigged? Well, it is rigged, you heard me, rigged, they’ve made it crystal clear the game is as staged as a WWE match on Monday Night Smackdown. If you don’t believe me, just go and rewatch the last 2 Super Bowls and you tell me who decided the outcome of those games. The refs, and who pay the refs? The NFL. But why Nate, why? I’ll tell ya why, TV Ratings and Money.
The NFL has literally been building you up for this ever since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce started dating. Since then, how many times did we see Taylor Swift on TV during a Chiefs game this season? And how many times has she been mentioned during a game? Too many, that’s how many. Shoot, I’ve seen her mentioned in games that the Chiefs weren’t even playing in. And what did that do for the Chiefs’ ticket sales and TV ratings? They skyrocketed. Don’t believe me? CBS posted an article back in September after the Chiefs Bears game that said the following:
The Chiefs are also seeing a spike in interest.
Since Taylor Swift’s appearance at Sunday’s Chiefs game vs. the Bears, StubHub representatives said they have seen nearly a 3x increase in sales in a 24 hour window for Chiefs home games compared to each of the few days prior. Also, single-day website searches for the Kansas City Chiefs on StubHub have increased by 3x since Taylor attended the Chiefs matchup against the Bears. There has been a 20% increase in website searches for Taylor Swift on StubHub in that same timeframe.

You ever hear the saying, “Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered”? Well that’s what’s happening to the NFL, they no longer care about the integrity of the game and they definitely do not care about their fans. This is the first year a playoff game will air exclusively on a streaming service. Why? Because of money, Peacock paid the NFL $110 million to get one Peacock-exclusive NFL playoff game. And it so happens to be the Chiefs vs the Dolphins, well, isn’t that convenient? And you better believe good ole Taylor Swift will be there. And you better believe that the the TV ratings will be much much higher than if she wasn’t. The ratings will look so good that the NFL will keep doing this and more streaming services will pay for their exclusive NFL playoff game and more suckers will get suckered into more monthly subscriptions. But, I sure won’t and I think over time the general fan will eventually wisen up and lose interest in the ripoff that NFL has become. And you better believe that’s how a hog gets slaughtered.
So only time will tell if I’m right, but I have a pretty good hunch that I am. If, Taylor Swift is at the Chiefs Dolphins game and if that game is decided by “poor” officiating, maybe you’ll make the right move and place a bet on the Chiefs winning the AFC Championship Game. I sure did. Seemed like free money to me.
