My picks last week were the worst of the season. I went a little too heavy on upsets and I went 3-7 to bring my season record to 26-14. Here are my week 5 college football moneyline picks.
It seems very odd for Kentucky to be favored against Florida. The Gator’s only loss this year was week 1 vs Utah and they had a big win vs Tennessee in week 3. UK is a basketball school and hasn’t played anyone this year, so yeah, I’m taking the Gators moneyline in this one. Clemson lost in OT to FSU last week, and Syracuse also hasn’t played anyone. Dabo gets his team back on track with a two score win against an ACC opponent.Arkansas is on a two game losing streak following losses to BYU and LSU. A&M just beat Auburn by 17. I’m taking the Aggies. I’m not even sure where James Madison is located, but I know jaguars don’t live in south Alabama, so give me the Dukes.South Florida played Alabama pretty tough in week 3 and they just put up 42 points on Rice. Navy is still running that stupid triple option and if USF can hold their own against Alabama’s Oline and RBs then they should be able to take care of Navy. Boise State is on a two game win streak and Memphis only beat Navy by 4 points, I’m taking the Broncos.Ole Miss couldn’t upset Alabama, but only lost by 14. If Ole Miss had beaten Alabama they’d be a top 10 team, and we all know how well Brian Kelly does against top 10 teams. Regardless, the Rebels will beat the Tigers. Georgia State hasn’t played anyone this year, Troy isn’t very good, but I’m still taking the Trojans. The Irish better beat Duke or they need to fire Freeman and go get Urban Meyer. But they won’t, because Notre Dame isn’t about winning championships anymore.Since losing to Colorado in week 1, TCU has gotten back on track. West Virginia is only averaging 18.5 points per game over their last two games, that’s not good enough to beat the Horned Frogs at home.
