1) Jacksonville Jaguars
Aidan Hutchinson
Position: Defensive End
School: Michigan Wolverines

Aidan Hutchinson is the highest ranked player in the draft, so unless the Jaguars trade this pick, Hutchinson is the choice. I think the Jags would trade back if there was another Trevor Lawrence type QB in this class, but since there isn’t, their asking price will be too high for any team to jump up to number 1 to take a QB. So, they keep the pick and draft the highest rated player, Aidan Hutchinson.
2) Detroit Lions
Kayvon Thibodeaux
Position: EDGE
School: Oregon Ducks

Dan Campbell doesn’t believe that you need an elite QB to win the Super Bowl and he seems to be happy with Goff, at least for now anyways. So he takes arguably the second highest rated player in the draft, Kayvon Thibodeaux. The reports about him taking plays off are just attempts by scouts to try and get him to fall so their team can draft him.
Trade Alert:
3) Trade: Carolina Panthers (from Houston Texans)
Kenny Pickett
Position: Quarterback
School: Pittsburgh Panthers

With pressure from ownership for the Panthers to find their next franchise QB, coach Matt Rhule and company trade up to get their guy, Kenny Pickett. The Panthers give up a haul of draft picks to the Texans, who love the trade, because they are still trying to recover from the Bill O’Brien Experience.
Texans Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 6)
- 2022 5th round pick (pick 144)
- 2023 1st round pick
- 2023 4th round pick
- 2024 6th round pick
Panthers Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 3)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 108)
- 2023 6th round pick
4) New York Jets
Garrett Wilson
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Ohio State Buckeyes

I changed the player who the Jets pick at four, but I still believe that the Jets take a WR, because that’s such a Jets thing to do. They have the worst offensive line in football, but they saw how the Bengals drafted a WR instead of an offensive lineman in last year’s draft and made the Super Bowl. So, the Jets will play copycat and draft arguably the best WR in this class and hope for similar results. Problem is, Zach Wilson is no Joe Burrow and Garrett Wilson is no Ja’Marr Chase.
5) New York Giants
Ikem Ekwonu
Position: Offensive Tackle
School: North Carolina State Wolfpack

The Giants need another OT to pair with Andrew Thomas. They draft Ikem Ekwonu, most scouts have him ranked higher than Evan Neal. Ekwonu can come in and start at RT immediately or possibly beat out Thomas in training camp for the LT spot and the Giants could then move Thomas to RT. Either way, they get an immediate starter to fill a very necessary need for Daniel Jones to have any level of success next year.
Trade Alert:
6) Houston Texans (from Carolina Panthers)
Evan Neal
Position: Offensive Tackle
School: Alabama Crimson Tide

The Texans are locked in at LT with Laremy Tunsil, but currently their starting RT is Charlie Heck, more like who the heck is that? They upgrade that position with Evan Neal, who I think will be a great RT in the NFL. So it’s a win-win for both the Texans and Neal.
Texans Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 6)
- 2022 5th round pick (pick 144)
- 2023 1st round pick
- 2023 4th round pick
- 2024 6th round pick
Panthers Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 3)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 108)
- 2023 6th round pick
Trade Alert:
7) Pittsburgh Steelers (from Chicago Bears through New York Giants)
Malik Willis
Position: Quarterback
School: Liberty Flames

Pittsburgh moves up in the draft with the Giants, who have already said they would be interested in trading one of their 1st round picks for a 1st in next year’s draft. Even though, Mike Tomlin has said he isn’t interested in starting a rookie QB this year, he never said anything about not being interested in developing one. The Steelers will start Mitch Trubisky at QB next season and let Malik Willis learn behind him for one year. In a division with Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson and now Deshaun Watson, the Steelers need a playmaker at QB. And they think Willis is that guy.
Giants Get:
- 2022 2nd round pick (pick 52)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 138)
- 2022 6th round pick (pick 208)
- 2023 1st round pick
- 2023 3rd round pick
Steelers Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 7)
- 2022 6th round pick (pick 182)
- 2023 5th round pick
8) Atlanta Falcons
Derek Stingley Jr.
Position: Defensive Back
School: Louisiana State University Tigers

The Falcons are clearly in rebuild mode. They need a QB, but with both Pickett and Willis gone they address another need on defense and take the best Cornerback in the draft, Derek Stingley Jr.
9) Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos)
Charles Cross
Position: Offensive Tackle
School: Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Seahawks could probably draft just about any position here, especially QB. But I think Pete Carroll will roll the dice with Drew Lock at QB, and if it doesn’t work out, he will try and get Bryce Young next year. So in the meantime the Seahawks get better along the offensive line and draft Charles Cross.
10) New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)
Travon Walker
Position: Defensive Line
School: Georgia Bulldogs

The Jets still need offensive line help, but they just can’t help themselves with this pick and they draft the combine hero and “rising” Edge rushing superstar Travon Walker. I think Walker is going to be a bust, but the Jets are great at drafting future busts, so why not take the player that I predict to be the biggest bust in this year’s draft. Jets gonna Jet.
11) Washington Commanders
Drake London
Position: Wide Receiver
School: University of Southern California Trojans

The Commanders and Carson Wentz are both hoping that Washington found their franchise QB, because Wentz is tired of moving and Washington is tired of searching. So Washington does what no other team has done with Wentz as their QB, they get him some weapons. They already have Terry McLaurin, but they decide to add 6’5, Drake London to pair with him.
12) Minnesota Vikings
Kyle Hamilton
Position: Safety
School: Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Kyle Hamilton played for Notre Dame, so even though he is the best player in the draft, yes I said the best player in the draft, he will fall on draft day. I know that all the Notre Dame haters out there will disagree and say that Hamilton is overrated and he only looked good because the Irish play such a “weak” schedule, but that’s just silly and hypocritical, because the same thing could be said for about 90% of the players that will be drafted, but its not. The Vikings however, don’t draft based on bias and they need help at safety. Hamilton can play alongside other Notre Dame great, Harrison Smith, and eventually take over as the leader of that defense.
13) Houston Texans (from Cleveland Browns)
Jermaine Johnson II
Position: Edge
School: Florida State Seminoles

The Texans decided to trade back with the Panthers once their guy Kayvon Thibodeaux was drafted at number 2 by the Lions. They still need an Edge rusher and Lovie Smith believes a good defense starts with a good pass rush up front, so they get one of the best pass rushers in the draft by taking Jermaine Johnson II.
14) Baltimore Ravens
Jordan Davis
Position: Nose Tackle
School: Georgia Bulldogs

The Ravens get lucky and get the player with the highest ceiling in the draft, Jordan Davis. Davis is 341-pounds, 6’6 and ran a 4.78 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. That’s just crazy! He’s also a run stopping machine, put him next to Calais Campbell and that’s a force to be reckoned with.
Trade Alert:
15) Atlanta Falcons (from Miami Dolphins through Philadelphia Eagles)
Desmond Ridder
Position: Quarterback
School: Cincinnati Bearcats

Head Coach Arthur Smith and GM Terry Fontenot get the hunch that their potential QB of the future may not be there when they pick again in round 2 at 43. So they make a deal with the Eagles to jump the Saints and get Desmond Ridder.
Eagles Get:
- 2022 2nd round pick (pick 43)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 114)
- 2023 1st round pick
- 2023 7th round pick
Falcons Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 15)
- 2022 5th round pick (pick 162)
- 2023 6th round pick
16) New Orleans Saints (from Indianapolis Colts through Philadelphia Eagles)
Jameson Williams
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Alabama Crimson Tide

I can already hear it now Jameis to Jameson. I know a lot of people are thinking that the Saints will look to draft a QB with this pick, but that doesn’t make sense. They just resigned Jameis Winston to a two-year, $28 million contract with $21 million in guarantees. So, instead they draft him another WR to throw the ball to, Jameson Williams.
17) Los Angeles Chargers
Trevor Penning
Position: Offensive Tackle
School: Northern Iowa Panthers

Somehow Rashawn Slater fell to the Chargers in last years draft, and I think Trevor Penning will do the same in this draft. Bryan Bulaga didn’t work out the way the Chargers had hopped, so they draft Penning to become their long term starter at RT.
18) Philadelphia Eagles (from New Orleans Saints)
Devonte Wyatt
Position: Defensive Line
School: Georgia Bulldogs

The Eagles could go WR here, but they have a much bigger need on defense, and it will be very hard to pass on Devonte Wyatt. So the Eagles improve their defensive line by taking Wyatt.
19) New Orleans Saints (from Philadelphia Eagles)
Trent McDuffie
Position: Defensive Back
School: Washington Huskies

The Saints already drafted a WR, but now look to address the other side of the ball and draft a defensive back. Trent McDuffie is one of those guys that is high on a lot of draft boards, but I don’t see it, but he will still most likely be one of the first 5 CB drafted.
20) Pittsburgh Steelers
Tyler Linderbaum
Position: Center
School: Iowa Hawkeyes

The Steelers held onto pick 20 and didn’t include it in the deal with the Giants. They drafted their potential QB of the future and now they draft their Center of the future.
21) New England Patriots
Devin Lloyd
Position: Linebacker
School: Utah Utes

The Patriots just got pummeled in the playoffs, losing 47-17. Devin Lloyd is the best linebacker in the draft and he will instantly improve the Patriots defense.
22) Green Bay Packers (from Las Vegas Raiders)
Chris Olave
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Ohio State Buckeyes

The Packers signed Aaron Rodgers to a mega three-year, $150 million deal. They also lost DeVante Adams and Allen Lazard remains at the top of their depth chart. So, for the first time in probably forever, they draft Rodgers a WR. In my opinion, Chris Olave is the best WR in the draft and Rodgers will be happy to have him.
23) Arizona Cardinals
George Karlaftis
Position: Defensive End
School: Purdue Boilermakers

Chandler Jones signed with the Raiders, so the Cardinals draft the best available Edge rusher in the draft, George Karlafitis. Karlafitis may pave the way for another set of edge rushing brothers in the NFL. His brother Yanni will be a sophomore for Purdue next season and if George can make an impact right away, his brother may be a hot commodity when he enters the draft.
Trade Alert:
24) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from Dallas Cowboys)
Zion Johnson
Position: Guard
School: Boston College Eagles

The Buccaneers lost G Ali Marpet to retirement and G Alex Cappa signed with the Bengals. Even though they traded for G Shaq Mason and resigned G Aaron Stinnie, Tom Brady would be much happier if they improved the Guard position. So, the Bucs trade up with the Cowboys and swap 1st round picks and throw in a 4th rounder, because they don’t see Zion Johnson falling to them at 27.
Cowboys Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 27)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 133)
Buccaneers Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 24)
25) Buffalo Bills
Andrew Booth Jr.
Position: Defensive Back
School: Clemson Tigers

The Bills need to get better in their secondary. Andrew Booth Jr will add much needed depth, and he should eventually be a full time starter.
26) Tennessee Titans
Nakobe Dean
Position: Linebacker
School: Georgia Bulldogs

Rashaan Evans signed with the Falcons, so the Titans need to find his replacement. They get just that, by drafting Nakobe Dean.
Trade Alert:
27) Dallas Cowboys (from Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
John Metchie III
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Alabama Crimson Tide

The Cowboys have a tendency to draft the best player available, even if it’s not a need. In this case, WR is a need. The Cowboys traded Amari Cooper to the Browns and Michael Gallup is recovering from a torn ACL, but so is John Metchie. But if Metchie was fully healthy, he’d most likely be the 1st WR drafted, he’s that good. So, Jerry Jones takes the best player available and gives Dak Prescott another dominant weapon to add to his arsenal.
Cowboys Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 27)
- 2022 4th round pick (pick 133)
Buccaneers Get:
- 2022 1st round pick (pick 24)
28) Green Bay Packers
Treylon Burks
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Arkansas Razorbacks

What, another WR for Aaron Rodgers? Yes, that’s right. I think there is a reason that the Packers haven’t made a move in free agency. By drafting another top 5 WR, the Packers now look like geniuses and the favorites to win the NFC North again. Treylon Burks and Chris Olave, holy guacamole.
29) Kansas City Chiefs (from San Francisco 49ers through Miami Dolphins)
Daxton Hill
Position: Safety
School: Michigan Wolverines

Tyrann Mathieu is gone and the Chiefs need a new safety. Daxton Hill was a huge part of the Wolverines defense and helping them make the college football playoffs last season. He is no Tyrann Mathieu, but the Chiefs have to get someone to replace him.
30) Kansas City Chiefs
Jahan Dotson
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Penn State Nittany Lions

The Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins and they need to add someone to help Patrick Mahomes. Jahan Dotson is no Tyreek Hill, but again they have to get someone to replace him.
31) Cincinnati Bengals
Kaiir Elam
Position: Defensive Back
School: Florida Gators

The Bengals resigned Eli Apple, but he didn’t look very good against the Rams in the Super Bowl. The Bengals also added three offensive linemen in free agency, so that problem appears to be solved, so they move onto the next one. Kaiir Elam has the potential to be a starter, but at the very least he will be a great rotational piece to the Bengals secondary.
32) Detroit Lions (from Los Angeles Rams)
Kenyon Green
Position: Guard
School: Texas A&M Aggies

The Lions need to improve their offensive line, and just like in last year’s draft another great offensive line pick falls to them in the draft. The Lions get an immediate starter in Kenyon Green.
