If “Common Sense” Existed, Deshaun Watson Would Be Banned From The NFL For Life

The NFL needs to make a stand against sexual predators by banning Deshaun Watson from the NFL for life.

Watson had twenty-two civil cases filed against him that accuse him of a range of actions during massage appointments from 2020 – 2021. Obviously, Watson has denied the allegations in the lawsuits and claims his innocence, but come on dude, 22 civil cases? A summary of the lawsuits can be read here: Summary of lawsuits against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson

Then to top it off, his defense attorney, Rusty Hardin, decided to get a list of 18 therapists, that have worked with Watson in the past few years, together to voice their support for Deshaun Watson. The 18 massage therapists’ statements can be read here: 18 massage therapists, with names attached, voice support for Deshaun Watson

So, this means that Watson has gotten massages from at least 40 different people in the last couple of years. Doesn’t that seem odd to anyone else, or am I taking crazy pills?

And that’s just 40 different people that we know of, there could be way more massage therapists that have worked with Watson in the past that we don’t know about, say maybe 50, 70, or even 100 different massage therapists? Why can’t there be more? It should be very simple for someone to consider the very possibility that there are more unknown massage therapists out there that have given Watson a massage, and possibly more than a massage, in the last 2-4 years. There are most likely more massage therapists out there that have also been sexually assaulted by Watson and may be either too afraid to come forward or do not want to, due to the public backlash that they would receive. There are also most likely more massage therapists out there that were not sexually assaulted by Watson, but do not want their names to be associated with these cases or with him for that matter, because why would anyone want to be publicly associated with someone that very well could and most likely is a sexual predator?

When people use the word[s] common sense, what they mean is ‘uncommon sense,’ because the standard human condition is ignorance and stupidity.

Charlie Munger

If you have any common sense or uncommon sense as Charlie Munger would put it, you would have to believe that something went on during these massages that wasn’t good.

Think about it like this, do you think someone like Tom Brady hits up over 20 different female masseuses a year on Instagram to work on his aching muscles? Or do you think someone like Brady most likely has 1 or a few select masseuses that he works with every year? I bet it’s the latter, because if you’re getting massages due to aching muscles from playing football you’re going to stick with the best person that does the best job on your body, not get a new person every time your body is sore. Think about it.

You’re not going to keep working with random people, just because. Because an NFL player’s body is literally their lively hood, it just doesn’t make any sense. And you’re definitely not going to be using Instagram to find your next great masseuse, unless you’re not really interested in JUST getting a massage. Think about it.

By the way every NFL team has team masseuses that every athlete on the team has access to. So, why not go through your team, and it’s not like someone like Watson wouldn’t jump to the front of the line. He was the team’s franchise QB, of course he would get “cutzees” in line. Think about it.

If you read the accusations, there are mentions of the victims having to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Say what?!? Why on earth would you need someone to sign an NDA prior to giving you a massage? And if you feel the need for someone to have to sign an NDA, why are you working with that specific person in the first place and again not going through the team’s masseuses? Just think about it.

Another red flag in the accusations is the part about meeting up at so many random places to get a massage. That just seems very odd to me and anyone else with a functioning brain. Hopefully, by now that includes you. I understand being a professional athlete on the road you may possibly have your masseuse meet you at your hotel room or the stadium for a massage, BUT, most of these accusations didn’t occur during the football season. Maybe, if Watson was the President I would understand, but even the President has time to play golf. So the argument that he’s a busy man goes right out the window and the argument that he appears to be more like a predator should be jumping right through that very same window and smacking you right in the face. Think about it.

Also, in the accusations there are multiple occasions where Watson requests that no one else be present during the sessions. That’s a very odd request. I understand maybe he wouldn’t want to deal with someone asking for an autograph, picture, etc. But, none of these encounters seemed to be set up in a professional manner to begin with, so why would he expect a professional experience to take place? Maybe the expectation of a professional experience could be argued if he went through a professional masseuse establishment as opposed to hitting up random women on Instagram? I’m not stating that these women he went through on social media aren’t professional masseuses, but I am stating that he’s using Instagram to work with independent masseuses rather than working directly with an established massage business. Doesn’t that seem strange, because it should. Especially, for someone with so much wealth. Makes it seem almost like he was hand picking his victims, like what a sexual predator would do. Maybe because he was. Think about it.

So we’ve established:

  • That the number of known masseuses (40) that Watson has worked with in just the last couple of years is an incredibly high amount of massage therapists to work with in such a short period of time. And most likely there are more.
  • That it doesn’t make any sense for an athlete to have so many different people work on his body, since an NFL player’s body is how they make their money. It would make way more sense to consistently work with the same people that do the best job.
  • That Instagram doesn’t seem like the proper channel to find your next great masseuse, unless your not really interested in JUST a massage.
  • That it doesn’t make sense for Watson to not use the team’s professional masseuses. Especially, since someone like Watson wouldn’t have to wait in line.
  • That making massage therapists sign an NDA prior to a massage session is a huge red flag.
  • That meeting with so many different massage therapists at so many different locations for a massage is very, very strange.
  • That by requesting that no one else be present during the massage is very creepy.
  • That searching for independent masseuses through social media makes Watson look like a predator. When he had the option to use the team massage therapists or even go through a professional massage business.

But then again you can take the other side and believe that the accusations by these 22 different women are all a big fat lie. Because it is definitely more likely that 22 different women, whom didn’t know each other prior to these accusations going public, somehow all got together and decided to go after Deshaun Watson and extort him for his money. And since the accusations weren’t all presented at the same time, it makes it way more likely that this is just a big money grab. Not that more and more women started to come forward because they were actually sexually assaulted by Watson and they gained the courage to step forward as other women before them started to step forward and tell their story. And you can think that all the women behind these accusations aren’t willing to make their names public because they are “in fact” lying. It definitely isn’t because they know that if they do release their names to the public, they will in fact be attacked by the crazy Watson fanatics on social media and in real life.

Yeah, I guess you can take the lack of common sense, or uncommon sense side that believes that Deshaun Watson is innocent and he is actually the victim in all of this. Yeah, you can definitely take the side of ignorance and stupidity, because it is the standard human condition.
