Keep Underestimating The GOAT

Some so called sports analyst and fanatics just can’t seem to learn. It is mind boggling that people continue to doubt and underestimate the GOAT, Tom Brady.

If you listen to haters like Mike Florio, Skip Bayless, or any other nut on any known sports network you would have believed Tom Brady was done 10 years ago. But time and time again, Tom Brady at the age of 44 continues to make those haters eat their words.

So why hasn’t anyone learned that the more you doubt the GOAT the more he funnels that negative energy into success? If you didn’t learn your lesson last season when 43 year old Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to its 2nd Super Bowl title in franchise history, where just about everyone counted the Bucs out after their last loss of the season to the Kansas City Chiefs in week 12, then you most likely live in a world where you believe in unicorns, leprechauns and the Loch Ness Monster. Because you’d have to live in an alternate reality to continue to doubt the man.

Not only did Brady win the Super Bowl he also finished the season in the top 3 in TDs, yards, and completions. He took a franchise that hadn’t made the playoffs since 2007 to the Super Bowl in his first season on the team. Oh and did I mention he was 43 years old?

When people said it wasn’t Brady that “won” the Super Bowl for the Bucs last year and it was really the defense, he had to go out and literally be the best QB of this year’s season. When will people learn? Probably never.

Tom Brady at the age of 44 leads the NFL in TDs, yards, and completions this year! Brady has 40 TDs and is only 10 yards shy of a 5,000 yard season and only 488 passing yards away from breaking the single season passing yards record. He’s also closing in on a 13-4 regular season record. Yet, the same tune is being played, over and over again, by you guessed it, the same fools that doubted Tom Brady last year. The same people who are also denying Tom Brady of having an MVP caliber season and saying other QBs like Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford are all much more deserving of the award. It’s mind blowing to even think that those QBs listed are even in the same sentence as Tom Brady or that these same “analysts” are still being paid real money to spew these awful opinions on media platforms all across the internet.

What excuse will be made this year? Will that juggernaut defense “win” the Bucs the Super Bowl again? That same dominate defense that “won” the Bucs the Super Bowl last year whom currently ranks 10th in points allowed and 14th in yards allowed this season. Meanwhile, the Brady led offense is ranked 2nd in points scored and 1st in total yards. It wasn’t the defense that put together the game winning drive last week against the Jets. It was Tom Brady that turned a track star who didn’t even play college football at LSU, Cyril Grayson, into a Tampa Bay local legend.

When Brady was shut out by the Saints in week 15 for only the 3rd time in his 22 year career every media outlet focused on how Brady was “embarrassed” by the Saints. And how he can’t “beat” the Saints, even though he beat them when it mattered in last year’s playoffs. Or what about focusing on the fact that Tom Brady has only been shut out 3 times in 317 games!

But keep on saying the Bucs are a “one and done” playoff team and keep on posting your words on the internet where the GOAT has access to read them. And guess what, Brady will continue to use those words as motivation and he will keep on winning and once again you’ll be found laying in the fetal position on your bed sobbing into your pillow Sunday night, February 13, 2022. Mark your calendar.
